TV is no longer manufactured. I have gone through two tuners which I have replaced myself. The TV will play fine and then its frozen on one channel. If you shut it off, then the tuner loses the cable signal altogether for hours. Then all of a sudden, boom TV signal again. NO warranty!!!!! Watch out fo ability to return. I am throwing out mine today and purchasing another TV.

"Installation of sound sysyem disappointing" 2009-12-25

Zip install was contracted to hook up HDTV, XBOX, Cable box, and DVD. I found, and had to fix, several problems after the installation. First, AM antenna hooked up but not FM antenna. Actually, technician did not know the FM antenna was the one supplied with the sound system, nor did he know that the microphone included was used to balance the speakers, and not for singing, as he thought. I also found that two of the speakers had reversed connections to the receiver, so I had to fix that. As far as neatly routing the wires, definitely not really done. Lastly, I tried out the DVD player and could not get any sound from the speakers. It took me a while to straighten that out.

I hired an installer so I would not have to deal with any of the above. The installer was prompt and pleasant, but I am still very disappointed that I had to deal with these problems. I would advise anyone getting their system hooked up to try out everything before the technician leaves. Even if they are not totally familiar with the equipment, they should take the time to check the manuals to be sure everything works correctly.

I find out only after I received the cable that this type of cable requires an additional audio cable to go with it, because it is video only. The website doesn't tell you and the geniuses at Best Buy didn't either. That would have been less upsetting to me if I just had to buy another cable but even with a brand new computer and tv with dual hdmi ports, this cable didn't transmit anything. No video or audio. NO matter what I did, I couldn't get it to work. I'd like to advise buying the hdmi to hdmi cables but I don't know if I want to risk it with this return policy.

I recently purchased a Samsung UN46B6000 HDTV from Amazon. Their free shipping got it to me in three days which also deserves high praise.

Knowing very little (nothing!,really) about setting this TV up I contacted and contracted ZIP installation to do the job for me. I knew immediately that I made a wise choice. The lady that answered my call was obviously well trained, well informed (about the services that her company provided) and was easily able to answer any questions that I had. She guided me to a table top installation and set up an appointment for 11AM two days later. On installation day, I received a 9AM confirmation call from Aaron my installer. He informed me that I was number two on his schedule and he expected to be right on time. At 10:30AM he called to say that he had encountered some unexpected problems and expected to arrive at noon. Just before noon he phoned again to say he was five minutes away. He turned up at noon and immediately went to work. He programmed the TV,connected a new cable box, connected a new DVD/VCR recorder and a new Soundbar. He stopped to explain what he was doing and to answer any questions my wife or I had. Once finished, he took us through all that he had done and showed us how everything worked. Before leaving he made sure that eveything was cleaned up and again made a last minute check to be sure everything was operating properly and that we were satisfied. I am more than happy to rate both ZIP and Aaron five stars and to recommend ZIP to anyone requireing their services.

On impulse, I picked up a 19lv61k at Cosco at a cheap price and an automatic factory rebate. I intended to use it in my travel trailer. Got it home, and found the usual excellent Toshiba picture, but the volume was a disaster. Cranked all the way up (to "50") on the volume control, you could barely make out what people were saying from 3 feet away. The only way you can enjoy a movie is to put your face into the screen. I understand there are several similar Toshiba models (including the 19LV610U and 19LV611U) with a like volume problem. I thought I might simply bridge this problem with a cheap plug in speaker system, but read in the owner's manual you can only attach an analog sound system if you have the 26 inch model! Also, for a minor quibble, this is called a 19 inch tv, but it only measures out at 18 and one-half inches. My wife and I own other Toshiba TV's, and love each of them. Don't avoid Toshiba TV's, but do avoid this model. By the way, I ultimately bought a Sharp LC22DV27UT, which is the bomb, and as I update this on June 22, 2009, is on sale at a really nice price with free shipping at Amazon.

Fits beautifully in my 2000 honda accord. I love the MP3 player best of all. Plays sharp looking movies with great surround sound. Radio works decently well, although setting the radio prefixes is a bit strange. I have a 4gb SD card in mine and it keeps me happy for weeks at a time. Even has a random feature for the mp3 player. I've had this unit for about 4 months and no complaints. I even installed it myself.
